A bunch of Bloggers was privileged to be invited to go sample some fine foods that Flames have to offer. I was so pleased to be invited along for the first time.
We were also invited into the exclusive Le Méridien Club Lounge which is only available to guests staying on the Le Méridien Club Floors. So excited!
The two prestigious Club Floors and the exclusive Le Méridien Club Lounge have sweeping views of either the South China Sea or city, with a glimpse of majestic Mount Kinabalu. Le Méridien Club lounge is located on the 12th floor and opens for breakfast, evening cocktails and canapés. The lounge has superb sea views with comfortable leather lounge seats and a separate dining area, internet and business centre access and international newspapers.

After that, we were invited to Flames for the food sampling sessions
Flames, a casual, stylish steak restaurant that is Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu’s latest dining option, showcases the best quality, prime steaks for Kota Kinabalu diners.
Flames is a transformation of the hotel lobby lounge’s upperdeck, a small and intimate former drinks-and-refreshments niche that has given way to just 24 seats for lovers of luscious, prime steaks and most things non-vegetarian. Open daily, Kota Kinabalu’s only international steak restaurant will cater to lunch and dinner guests from 12pm – 2.30pm and 6.30pm – 10pm.
The restaurant’s concept of casual, stylish dining in favour of great quality food, showcasing signature steaks, is a serious effort to truly please the palates of Kota Kinabalu city’s steak aficionados.

Flames was kind enough to reduce the portion size of all these food in order for us to sample all of them. So, the portion in these photos are sampling size just for us :)
